There is beauty all around us,

if we look beyond the guise

we can see it with our fingers

we can feel it with our eyes

we can smell it in a memory

and appreciate the ties

There are textures, scents and glories

Whether near or far, the prize

we can listen to its calling

and walk among the wise

  2. I like this so much, Joan. We do limit our senses when we attribute them with only one method of perceiving. I’m sure I’ve tasted food with my eyes and felt sensuality in the scent of perfume. The collective experience is vivid in your words and images.
