A few years back, I wrote a blog post or two (actually 14 so far) about humor (search my category called Attempts at Humor).

But I’m just not that funny.

Now that doesn’t mean I don’t have a sense of humor.

And occasionally I surprise those who know me with something that makes them LOL.

I tend to write about the things that dig deep. That’s because for most of my pre-adult life, the people around me who I needed the most ignored the very things that were ruining their lives. (Oops–Bummer alert.)

Since paying attention to those serious things paid off for me, taking me from frustration and hopelessness into a relatively light and happy life (most of the time), I figured my calling in life is to help others pay attention to the things they’re trying to avoid.

Besides, I’ve always loved a good cry.

Speaking of a good cry, my novel is releasing soon! If you love historical fiction, and don’t mind a good cry, this is for you. I might accept another advance reader or two. Let me know. Release date is tentatively set for August 30, 2024.
